Tie Flume Campground

Tie Flume Campground is situated on the South Fork of the Tongue River just a few miles off the Medicine Wheel Scenic Byway with fishing, hiking and ATV trails nearby. Decades ago, ties were harvested from the nearby timber for the railroad and were sent down steam through flumes and splash dams, hence the campground name. Some remnants remain within a few miles of the camp. Nearby Bear Lodge and Elk view Inns provide guided horseback riding, fishing adventures, dining, and showers.
