Shell Creek Campground

Shell Creek Campground gets its name from the stream that ripples through it, and with its milder climate, it is among the first of the campgrounds to open in mid-May. Four-wheel drive roads, hiking and ATV trails are close by, many of which access trailheads into the Cloud Peak Wilderness. Fishing and wildlife viewing are also popular activities; watch for moose, elk and deer. Scenic Shell Falls is approximately five miles from the campground on Highway 14.
